Can Dogs Eat Oranges?

Is it safe for your dog to eat Oranges? Read more to find out.

can-dogs-eat-orangesDogs can eat oranges safely. Dogs are omnivores, and most fruits (except grapes) are safe for them to consume in moderation. Oranges are a good source for vitamin C, vitamin B12, and other vitamins. The high citric acidity of oranges, however, may cause dogs diarrhea especially if fed in large amounts. Also be careful that your dog doesn’t eat the seeds.

my pochies eat orange on a regular basis and dont even get runs. ive noticed that by the treat in small amounts on a daily basis has stopped a build up of sleep in the eyes, which is a good thing and are very healthy dogs who have regular checks and have no ailments. they do eat a very varied diet.

Barbara, you’re actually wrong. Dogs are omnivores, it’s just that dogs can only eat in certain amounts. Also, my 2 yr. old schnauzer Gidget eats grass to help with digestion. Dogs eating grass? I think that means that they’re omnivores!

My Pug Jack loves oranges, so far he hasn’t shown any signs of any problems. Only gave him a very small amount. He also loves banana’s , I share my breakfast one with him every morning 🙂
